Watch them be shot by stockbrokers, bankers, CEOs and the President himself, to raucous applause.

Fuck, I'll add grocery store workers and gig drivers to the list. There's people out there risking their health so that I can eat.

Yes. There were six Marines who raised the (second) flag on Mt. Suribachi.

Definitely could use a grocery store worker and delivery driver. Anyone who works at a hospital really. Hospital staff are all going to be exposed, many with a much smaller paycheck, and the maintenance crew are the ones trying to keep the place sanitary.

Agreed on all counts. I’ve been doing a lot of ordering on Amazon, so God bless those guys and gals. They are very much on the front lines of all of this.

Not to mention all of the medical support staff (receptionists and secretaries especially) who are keeping our medical facilities functional at great risk to themselves and their families .

Let me assure you most people think scientists are uncool in all countries.

I am a scientist. I can confirm that I am not cool.

As a scientist who is going to work everyday despite our county being ordered to stay at home, I don't belong in a group with the people who are actually doing some good. My company isn't helping. We're staying open on a technicality.

I think it’s more of a broad statement about the importance of science in general during an administration that is openly hostile to the truths rigorous science tells us.

45 could shoot someone and not lose any voters. He said it himself, and it’s true.
Meanwhile the trickle down lie will continue.

Same here. They’re interpreting the medical research thing pretty broadly. Thankfully, I can work from home, but they’ve made it clear we may have to go in to the office at any time. (one example was for meetings, LOL)

Oh, things trickle down, all right. Just not good things.
